Philosophy of the Practice
At Loftgardens we strive to advance the practice of landscape architecture through applied research. We believe the landscape in which we live must provide value beyond simply being visually attractive. Our research includes topics as diverse as:
- Building-integrated features such as green roofs and living walls,
- Soft infrastructure solutions such as stormwater management and rainwater harvesting,
- Habitat integration using native plants and integrated pest management (IPM), and
- Building strong communities through the creation of great civic and privately-owned public spaces.
